The photographic journey often begins with mastering technique, learning the craft, and developing the skill to capture images that connect with the viewer.  However, as the artist within evolves, so to does the question: Why do you create, and does what you capture truly hold meaning for you?

The “Authenticity Gap” project is an exploration of the photographers unfolding search for meaning and an artists evolving need for authentic expression and originality.  To move beyond capturing ascetically pleasing images in the pursuit of creating meaningful work that resonates at a deeper level.
