We live in a fast-paced digital world - a time of algorithms and instant gratification. In an era defined by short-form reels and even shorter attention spans, the search for something genuine feels more vital than ever.
Much of photography has become about attention seeking, the images we are bombarded with on social media may be more striking than ever, but many lack substance or depth. Good photography should ask questions of the viewer and connect at a deeper level.
This is the “Authenticity Gap” - an exploration, a search for how to find meaning and authenticity in your photography, to stop chasing the “perfect image” and capture what is real and meaningful to you.
